You've Got a Hold of Me
written @ 1:10 pm on Friday, Feb. 11, 2005

Kiss me with your venom lips
Caress my careless heart
Take my soul and fondle it
Then tear it all apart.

Shove glass candy down my throat
See the shards rip through
Throw me down into the snow
And watch my skin turn blue.

Run your fingers across my back
Then strike it with a whip
Gently take my hand
Then crush it in your grip.

Invade my soul
Invade my brain
Lock me in a room
Behind a door of pain.

Laugh and point
Play with my mind
Pull my strings
And watch me unwind.

Bound in a straight jacket
In a world of white
I’m tied to a chair
And holding on tight.

There’s nowhere to run
And nobody I know
You’re holding the ropes
In a sick puppet show.

I’m gasping for breath
I’m going to drown
Running across a rickety bridge
And struggling not to look down.
